Ruggedized Border Patrol Surveillance
Keeping the borders safe by land air and sea
Surveillance of borders, whether land, air or sea is a demanding task and one that cannot be taken lightly. Often entrusted to Coast Guard, Border patrols and military these systems require a unique blend of ruggedness, technology and reliability that cannot be compromised, as the safety of the nation rests upon them
We focus on delivering high end military surveillance solutions which include motorized line of sight controls for medium and long range cameras. Our designs incorporate modular surveillance architecture with options to fit gyro stablisation, video image stabilization, video tracking and geo-location, as these products may need to be mounted on vehicles, ships, towers or tripods.
We ensure that the systems designed for these applications are not only modular, but offer the capabilities the user requires without the need for costly engineering or lengthy integration cycles.
All our systems are day/night multi-sensor systems which are designed to be MIL standard rated designed to withstand even the most rugged applications with extreme shock and vibration.
All designs incorporate marine grade connectors and environmental seals for total protection against any climate conditions, including rain, dust, direct sunlight, heat, humidity and ice.
As a natural extension of our capabilities to design such ruggedized surveillance systems we also work closely with vehicle and boat OEMs to integrate camera, display, sensor and positioner solutions tailored to the vehicle characteristics and mission specifications. We have an in depth multi-disciplinary understanding of the mechanical and electro-optical issues surrounding surveillance platforms on moving vehicles or boats in order to install them successfully.
Mobile Mesh Networks
Seamless off the grid communication on the move
In modern warfare environment, the military finds itself forced to be mobile in all areas of engagement. Mobility today implies more than just the motion of individuals and vehicles in relation to one another and to other fixed locations.
High performance must be maintained in motion, which includes rapid reconfiguration of network topology as units and individuals re-orient themselves in pursuit of battlefield objectives. To achieve this, networking hand offs between communicating devices must be coordinated to minimize data outages and/or a reduction in performance while in motion. These hand-offs must be transparent to communicating units, maintaining session connectivity while in motion. Location awareness, both in relation to other communicating devices and space (e.g. GPS) is often mandated.
The network topology must constantly and automatically adapt to the varying distances between vehicles while the mesh must deliver high performance with very low latency and jitter to permit the sensor data to arrive in a timely fashion.
Mobile mesh networks should not be limited to any particular number or type of physical radios. The networking algorithms are designed to work over a variety of civilian and military radio bands. The management of network frequencies would be software based and should allow integration for legacy military radios as well.

Long Range Laser Locators/Illuminators
Accurate location and aim even in the dark
Today’s precision munitions require friendly forces to know the exact location of enemy targets in order to effectively engage them with minimal collateral damage, which are now increasingly important in modern battlefield scenarios where strike aircraft fly night sorties and usually in close proximity to friendly forces
Laser designators provide very accurate targeting for laser-guided bombs, missiles, or precision artillery munitions. The target is marked by an invisible beam. The beam bounces off the target and is detected by the seeker normally installed on laser guided munitions, which steers itself towards the centre of the reflected signal. Laser designators work best in clear atmospheric conditions.
These designators are available in a wide range of versions determined by type of application and distances required. There are aircraft mounted versions, typically on attack Helicopters such as the Apache and Cobra, or vessel, vehicle or tripod mounted or mounted on a infantryman weapon like an LMG.
JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller) teams on the ground typically employ lightweight, interoperable devices that uniquely provide range finding and targeting information to other digital battlefield systems employing an eye-safe laser wavelength. These range finding devices helps to fix target locations for even conventional non-guided munitions or in situations where laser designation is unreliable. They are developed for day/night use, and the advanced systems provide azimuth and elevation data apart from GPS coordinates.
Designators are housed in MIL ruggedized packaging and the hand held ones are balanced for easy handling and tripod mounting. A by product of the laser designator is the pointing and illumination systems that assist in weapon aiming and illumination on multiple helicopters and rotary wing aircraft. Simple adjustments should convert the laser designator into an IR illuminator. There are special high powered infra red and visible green aiming and illuminating lasers for individual carbines as well.
Visual signing and warning system especially for maritime applications, employs eye safe, visible light spectrum pulsed light to inform friendly and unfriendly forces of intent clearly. These pulses can be seen as far as 4 Km away at night. These glare products are also vehicle mounted, small arms integrated or handheld. They provide a clear irrefutable multilingual warning across all cultures or people when a shocking bright green dazzling pulsed light speaks danger! Don’t proceed.
Uav Detectors; Inhibitors
Zapping these menaces out of the sky
Drones, variously labeled as unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), remotely piloted aircraft systems (RPAS) or unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), are openly sold even in retail stores these days. While most are used for recreational use, the challenge is when these units are used in controlled or urban areas for reconnaissance or espionage or other malicious activities such as disrupting an airfield or conducting terrorist attacks against critical infrastructure sites.
An Anti-UAV system is designed to disrupt and neutralize these UAVs with a high degree of success. A good detection and inhibition system should be capable of remotely detecting UAVs even with a small radar cross section, and then tracking and classifying them before providing the option to disrupt their activity. The Anti Drone system combines 3 elements of detect and control namely, electronic-scanning radar target detection, electro-optical (EO) tracking/classification and directional RF inhibition capability.
While there are mind boggling number of UAV manufacturers, surprisingly, the solutions for inhibiting these drones are not so many and in most cases do not have a good or proven track record. Ideally a good Anti UAV system should be able to detect and identify the drone over considerable distance before the device becomes an imminent threat. Since drones come in all shapes and sizes and increasingly faster, a good Anti UAV device needs to be able to handle as many options as possible. Ideally these units should be operational under all weather conditions, and detect even those flying in urban areas or near to the horizon.
A good Anti UAV system would typically be able to detect multiple drones or airborne objects simultaneously and if necessary inhibit them simultaneously. While operator control and supervision is mandatory, leading manufacturers offer a level of automation allowing the systems to detect, identify and if necessary even inhibit the invaders automatically. The RF inhibitor employ directional antennas to achieve maximum range of operation with minimum collateral effect.
Perin 7 team has been working closely with Military teams and vendors to determine the best solutions to a new problem which seems to be here to stay for a while.
Mobile Command And Control Centers
Control room on the move.
In case of emergency, war or natural disasters, the necessity to mobilize troops, search and rescue teams and other emergency/paramedic crew to ground zero is vital. Mobile command and control centers (C&CC) are essentially large special purpose vans or vehicles equipped to provide communications and surveillance in a limited sphere of engagement.
C&CC Vehicles can be quickly mobilized and relocated close to the areas where they are needed.
The vehicles are fit out with multiple operator positions, complete with screens, audio/video inputs and outputs, with storage, retransmission and retrieval capabilities. Typically these vehicles allow 2-3 operator positions, although special purpose vehicles with up to 10 operator positions are also possible on special requirements.
A full electronics communication suite would typically include LTE, TETRA, Digital and Analogue FM, WiFi and Satellite systems including antenna, base stations and radios themselves. Operators would have a selectable visual console to patch through communications from air, ground and sea.
Features and equipment on a command and control vehicle vary considerably depending on the application. There are command and control vehicles used for military applications at land, air and sea, as well as command and control vehicles for law enforcement, emergency and surveillance purposes. These units are fully equipped with power generator and cooling systems to keep them operational for extended periods of time.
Tactical Shelters
Keeping men and material safe and operational
The need for storage and shelter in civilian and military applications is wide. We at Perin7 are prepared to offer the best solution to protect or preserve our customer’s valuable possessions against the harsh climate conditions or prying eyes.
In terms of equipment protection, it is proven that for ambient humidity levels beyond 40%, the rate of corrosion increases exponentially. Valuable equipment and vehicles such as aircraft, radars and launchers, costing millions of dollars of tax payer money can rust and be rendered unusable in a short time if not protected from the effects of humidity. Special shelters are needed to extract the moisture content from within the enclosure rapidly and continuously to ensure it stays below 40% at all times
Shelters designed for people should afford easy passage, safety features, protection against the elements as well as meet the functional requirements in terms of size, application, time frame for use and the number of persons it can accommodate. Shelters can be simple 4 person shelters to elaborate performance halls.
Various Storage and Shelter Applications that PERIN7 Solutions can advise on
- CRISIS MANAGEMENT – Accident victims, natural disaster victims, refugee housing etc. Housing of victims, staff and storage of supplies and equipment
In case of natural disaster and accidents, sometimes hundreds and thousands of humans are affected, and can occur in isolated areas or where there is no existing infrastructure, or in case of natural tragedies, the infrastructure is devastated. We offer a wide range of solutions in the form of durable, weather resistant, insulated shelters of variable sizes and applications that can be rapidly deployed within 6 min to 2 hrs at max, capable of withstanding heat, cold, high winds and dust.
- TACTICAL DEPLOYMENT – Soldiers housing, storage of supplies, shelters for aircraft, helicopters and vehicles, camouflage units, rapid response for radars and missile launchers.
Military require rapidly deployable storages and shelters of various sizes and applications. These structures would be made in various shapes and sizes with specific operational requirements. Some would be for storage or shelter of equipment and material while some are needed for housing personnel. We can offer a shelter for every application whether it be rapid deployment for human occupation, or fast action retractable dome type of shelters to house radars and missile launchers. All shelters need to conform to exacting MIL standards established.
- SEMI PERMANENT STRUCTURES – Event halls, Aircraft Terminals, Construction Site offices, staff accommodation and even Prisons
We also offer solutions for unique project based solutions for semi permanent structures. There is a surprisingly large demand for supply of such semi permanent structures that can be built at a fraction of the time and cost required to build a permanent one. Delay in construction, planning or lack of funds can be some reasons for requesting such a prefabricated structure. Such structures may also be demanded, for events and functions, where the requirement for a large space is for a short duration or where civil permissions to dig, excavate and erect a permanent structure is not given. Irrespective of the reason, if there is a requirement for a professional grade structure designed to meet the main functional requirements of the project, Perin 7 would be in a position to offer the most appropriate solution.
Such solutions are available for Entertainment event halls, Aircraft Hangers, temporary schools, offices, accommodations and even prisons. These prefabricated structures can be completed within weeks rather than months and years for a conventional built structure, and yet at the same time offering all the services and facilities that would be expected in terms of functionality, safety, security and durability.
These semi permanent structures are typically built of steel frames enveloped with durable coverings, meeting all the industry standards for safety, security and protection, and offer an immediate solution to storage or shelter until a permanent structure can be provided or the event is complete
Body Worn Analysers
Your well being is your teams concern as well
Fire fighting crew, military, paramilitary, search and rescue crew and law enforcement teams are often called out to work in demanding environments. People, even trained professionals, under stress experience an adrenaline high which significantly inhibits the indicators of fatigue and dehydration which the body normally warns us of.
Most people are unaware of the effects of changing conditions on hydration and the effect of hydration on performance. At altitudes above 1800mtrs the body loses approximately twice as much water as at sea level. Dehydration leads to increase in heart rate, body temperature, drop in blood pressure, and in extreme cases, eventual loss of consciousness and even kidney failure. Combined with elevated levels of stress the individuals are put in under such demanding situations, the health and well being of the individual is greatly compromised if not continuously monitored and responded to rapidly.
Perin7 offers a solution to these life threatening situations by advising on solutions that can provide real time actionable data-from the professional within a hazardous and challenging environment. The data on the vital performance indicators of each individual is transmitted in real time back to base or mobile command post.
The system also provides a physiological welfare index of each individual, enabling timely and rapid therapeutic intervention or rescue if needed. An inbuilt accurate GPS device provides a fix on the individual’s position allowing rapid location.
The system is predictive, in that it determines the present health of the individual and using the data of the body and ambient conditions, extrapolates the condition of the individual ahead in time and issues a warning if any of the parameters, current or going forward are breached, allowing the field supervisors to take a decision whether to pull them out of the environment before it is too late.
These solutions not only save lives, but also extends the performance of individuals in a hostile situation by rotating them as needed. The system can also be used for training by providing data which can give an immediate insight into the individual’s performance and capability and highlight areas that need to be further developed.
