Risk Assessment
Finding those loopholes
At PERIN7 we believe that in order to provide effective protection, it is essential to first carry out a proper risk-assessment or security audit. The aim of risk assessment is to determine the vulnerability of the organization to a level of exposure to natural or man-made hazards. Indeed, only by first indentifying the threats and vulnerabilities that exposes a property or business to specific risks, is it possible to deliver the kind of security that provides real peace of mind. Consequently, our work always starts with a thorough risk-assessment designed to inform the client of the kind of procedures and corrective needed to secure the facility. Our risk assessment consists of the following: threat assessment, risk analysis, identifying weaknesses in the system, identifying the resources available and finally providing the recommended solutions to fix the shortcomings.
Project report & Specification
Plan first, build after
For a business or operation to function successfully and efficiently, it must be conducted in a safe environment. Many components required for effectively securing a premise, usually go very early in the build stages of a project and that’s why it’s crucial that specifications for the security system are written into the project sooner rather than later.
We employ CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design ) methodology which enables proper design and effective use of the built environment to secure the premises. Our report provides drawings containing the quantities and required technical specifications for each and every component of the proposed electronic security system.
When we design a system, we understand that any security protocol should be integrated into the organization with the minimum level of obtrusiveness and interference; as it meant to be a support function, by creating the desired secure and safe environment for the organization to function properly and not one that chokes the flow of business or personnel and impedes the core operations of the organization.
We are also aware that a good security system needs to be cost effective. We keep this in mind while designing and specifying the system.
tender documentation
So that you get what you want
As a follow-on of our Project report and specification, as demanded by most of our clients, we also undertake preparation of Tender documentation, so that the client can take the requirements out to the market and get competitive bids for the project.
Our tender documents provide detailed list of generic instructions to tenderers including safety procedures, personnel management, fair contracting practices and other specific instructions as warranted by the client or the project environment.
Our technical document includes bill of quantities, individual component specifications, interaction between individual components or systems with a master plan of the overall system performance parameters.
We are an independent firm of safety and security professionals. Our tender documents are always purpose specific; never product specific - and prepared in a completely non-biased manner to allow all participants bid on a level playing field, while ensuring that the clients project interests are protected.
vendor assessment
The right person for the job
Vendor assessment is provided in 2 stages. Pre tender and post tender.
In Pre tender assessment, we qualify from a list of client supplied tenderers, suitable candidates for invitation to bid. In case it is an open or public tender, this is then carried out as a first level of qualification after the tender is closed. Companies are selected based on background check including but not limited to company size, technical capability, staff strength and qualifications, references, previous history, financial records, etc.
In post tender vendor assessment, we compile a compliance sheet for technical analysis and comparison based on the tender documents, with our comments regarding each bid.
We generally offer our conclusions and recommendations to the client on all the bids and prioritize them technically. Typically the client reserves the final say in the selection process and in negotiations on the commercial terms.
project management
Making sure the work gets done
We offer Project Management services for those projects which we have worked with since risk assessment and project specification stage.
We typically get the key stakeholder on the project involved from the first stage of the process to ensure that each one understands their scope of work and responsibility and approves them; We assist in identifying all deliverables and work to be done and in developing the time schedules accurately.
During execution of the project we offer liaison between the client and the contractor as well as project updates to the client. We approve the products and services delivered to site based on tender documents and compliance statements issued previously to ensure that the client gets what he has paid for.
During hand over process we ensure all the documentation, as-built drawings, operational manual, service manual, training programs are in place before formal hand over. We also ensure the appropriate labeling and identification of products, cables and services is done in the specified manner.
blast protection - Architechtural consultancy
Keeping people and property safe
We can prepare specific structural and material reports and advise to assist in the design of buildings and civil engineering works to resist explosive blast effects. This is a specialised branch of architecture that focuses on mitigating the effects of a blast on a civil structure.
Services offered include structural analysis and design, blast resistant design of glass facades, windows and doors, 3D computer modeling of blast effects on a structure and vulnerability assessment of existing buildings.
Our Blast Engineering associates work with architects to reduce these problem areas at the early concept design stage to assist building designers introduce appropriate mitigation countermeasures. This often includes the creation of a 3D model of the new building or site, to determine the impacts to building fabrics, facades and glazing systems from explosion effects.
